Sustainable Harvest’s Let’s Talk Coffee event will return in late September 2025 for a multi-day conference tackling challenges and creating opportunities for the coffee industry.
The gathering will take place in Peru for only the second time since its inception in 2003.
“Peru is our number one origin based on total volume of exports,” says Al Liu, Director of Let’s Talk Coffee.
“We’re thrilled to be staging our legacy event there to highlight coffees from our producer partners around the country.”
Sustainable Harvest’s Relationship Manager for Peru, Dimar Zurita, added: “We have walked hand in hand with suppliers in Peru to innovate in coffee supply for two decades.”
Through simultaneous language translation, attendees can participate fully in conversations that “rebalance the industry’s power dynamics” and “chart a new course for the industry”.
This will be the first Let’s Talk Coffee event organised under Sucafina’s ownership, since its acquisition of the coffee importer in February 2023.
“Hosting the event in Peru signifies a commitment to relationship coffee,” says Sustainable Harvest’s Managing Director, Kat Nolte Ferguson.
“Direct relationship sourcing is a trading model distinct from our traditional, efficient, commercial counterpart. Relationship coffee puts human connections in the driver’s seat of coffee sourcing, and this in- person event is a venue for those connections.”
The 2025 conference will mark the 20th edition of Let’s Talk Coffee, making it one of the industry’s longest-standing institutions.
Let’s Talk Coffee is said to be widely recognised for its emphasis on transparency and honest conversation. The event creates space for candour by building content around the perspectives of producers and roasters with direct sourcing relationships.
Registration for the Peru edition will open in the first quarter of 2025.
