Let's Talk Roya is expected to be the largest global training and workshop event to focus directly on the issue of coffee leaf rust in Central America and its impact. Organised by Sustainable Harvest Coffee Importers, the event will be held at the Hotel Royal Decameron on the Pacific coast of El Salvador. Some of the world's top agronomy and science experts have been confirmed as speakers, and attendees will have the opportunity to engage in workshops as well as coffee tastings (cuppings) to understand the quality problems that the rust is likely to present in the coming harvest. There will also be panels on varietal selection, crop renovation, long-term crop finance, and implementing best agricultural practices. Registration for Let's Talk Roya 2013 will open in mid-July.
