Thaifex-World of Food Asia has announced it will partner with parent company Anuga and rebrand to Thaifex-Anuga Asia. The rebranding was made official during the expo held at Impact Muang Thong Thani centre in Bangkok, Thailand from the 28 May to 1 June. Koelnmessee, Anuga trade fair organiser, alongside Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion and the Thai Chamber of Commerce, will help Thaifex-Anuga Asia cater to the European sector. “As organisers, we’re constantly fine-tuning our programs based on feedback from exhibitors, buyers, and visitors, and aligning them with the latest industry trends,” said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director of Koelnmesse. “The future of the F&B sector is always evolving and consumers’ tastes, considerations and preferences progress, and we hope to continue refreshing and creating new programs that will deliver the ultimate trade show experience to keep attendees, buyers, and exhibitors ahead of the curve.” This year’s Thaifex-World of Food Asia saw more than 67,000 attendees from 134 countries experience the future of the F&B sector in the Asia-Pacific. In its 16th edition, this year’s Thaifex-World of Food Asia gave exhibitors an exclusive glimpse at upcoming trends in food production, technologies, alternative foods, and culinary service from 2745 exhibitors and 28 start-ups. Attendees experienced networking sessions with investors, demonstrations, and matchmaking programs exclusively organised for international exhibitors to discuss trade deals. “The exposure we achieved at Thaifex-World of Food Asia was truly phenomenal. The networking sessions, in particular, provided a great platform for us to present our innovative food technology solution to combat diabetes to an international audience of media, buyers, and potential investors,” said Alan Phua, Chief Executive Officer and Master Builder of Singapore-based Alchemy Foodtech. As part of showcasing the F&B industry, Thaifex Coffee and Tea was one of the 11 specialised trade shows presented at Thaifex-World of Food Asia. Thaifex Coffee and Tea provided a forum for coffee roasters, manufacturers, and influencers to share valuable insights on the rapidly evolving nature of the industry. The show hosted a wide range of exhibitors from international café chains, such as Boncafé, equipment specialists K2, and Peaberry. Thaifex-Angua Asia 2020 will continue to focus on the future of food and will debut from 26 to 30 May. Global Coffee Report has launched a LinkedIn Showcase page.
