Tim Horton’s is set to open its first UK store in Glasgow, as the iconic Canadian coffee retailer sets its sights on Britain as its newest market. The company is something of an institution in Canada, where it claims to sell eight of every 10 cups of coffee bought there. The decision to open in Glasgow first is a nod to the high number of Scots with relatives in Canada. Tim Hortons then plans to roll out stores in other British cities in the next 12 months, but at this stage has no plans to open stores in London.
