TriestEspresso Expo, a collaboration between Trieste Chamber of Commerce and Assocaffe Trieste, returns to Trieste, Italy for its seventh edition, from 23 – 25 October. The biennial trade fair offers a range of training events and discussions for industry professionals, plus the chance to see the latest coffee related products. “TriestEspresso Expo brings to Trieste the biggest players of the sector from 85 countries,” said the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Aries, Antonio Paoletti, in a statement. The expo provides opportunities to network and do business, with 84 per cent of visitors playing an active role in purchasing and 65 per cent looking for new products or suppliers, according to organisers. Four out of 10 visitors are foreign, and of these two are from the new markets of Central and Eastern Europe, followed closely by Western Europe, Australasia and the Americas. “One of the most striking aspects is the number of visitors from other countries, which means that TriestEspresso really is an international appointment,” said Brazil Specialty Coffee Association CEO, Vanusia Nogueira, in the statement. Trieste has a long tradition of coffee production and distribution dating back to the 18th century.
