Allegra Strategies have announced the first speakers for the UK Coffee Leaders Summit, to be held at The Langham London Hotel, on 27 February. This year’s guests will explore key market trends, opportunities and threats currently facing the coffee industry. Mark Fox, who was appointed Managing Director of Starbucks UK in January 2014; and Jeffrey Young, who founded Allegra Strategies and The Allegra Group in 1999 will present the first session Market Insight. Chris Green, Director of Town Planning Services will speak on the panel, “How coffee can help us build a better High Street.” Luke Lang, Co-Founder of Crowdcube, which enables investors to fund British businesses in return for a share in their company, will present in the second session, Coffeepreneurs. Tim Hall, Founder of POD, which produces healthy food options for customers to its 23 London stores and for 3 Starbucks stores, will join Lang. Mark Lilley, Co-Founder of Abokado, which sells healthy food boxes from more than 20 sites in the UK and Ben Warner, Founder of Benugo and award-winning restaurateur, will also be part of the second session. Afroditi Krassa, Founder of Afroditi Krassa, which works on design and branding for the hospitality industry, will present in the final session, Strategy – Outside Insights. Organisers are expecting more than 250 senior executives from across the branded coffee shop, food-to-go and food-for-now sectors to take part in the summit.
