Ultimate Barista Challenge winners announced

The contest, which took place in New York, involved a series of challenges to determine the best coffee extraction, the best latte art, the best cocktail and the best espresso based “Frappe”.  Competitors were given 10 minutes to impress the judges. Duncan won first place in the Best of Brew challenge, and Shannon won first place in Latte Art and Espresso Frappe categories. La Spaziale US provided S40 machines for the event. The S40 offers baristas technical solutions to control espresso extraction. The machine offers a way to control operating temperature and the possibility to set different temperatures for each delivery group.
