Revenue in the United States for the coffee and tea industry was reportedly worth US$11.3 billion, according to a Research and Markets report released on 25 October. Of that total, the report estimates that the gross profit was 32.57 per cent. Import was valued at US$2.4 billion from 113 countries, while the industry was said to have exported $1.4 billion worth of merchandise to 135 countries. Total domestic demand for the industry in 2011 was estimated at US$12.3 billion, by adding import value to, and subtracting export value from, the coffee and tea industry's shipment value, the report stated.
