Trishul Mandana has been appointed as the Managing Director of Volcafe, the Coffee Division of ED&F Man. Mandana will succeed Jan Kees van der Wild effective 4 May 2015. Mandana’s new role will see him reporting to van der Wild, following van der Wild’s appointment to ED&F Man’s Managing Director of Commodities in February. “We are confident Trishul will be instrumental in guiding the coffee group into continued growth and creating value for both shareholders and customers,” said van der Wild. Mandana has more than 20 years experience in the coffee industry having previously served as Managing Director of Louis Dreyfus' Coffee division. “I am very grateful for the support given to the company and me personally over the past six years,” said van der Wild. “I would like to thank my colleagues worldwide for their phenomenal cooperation – please join me in welcoming Trishul to Volcafe.” Volcafe is a coffee merchant with operations in 15 coffee origins. Its head office is in Winterthur, Switzerland. Volcafe supplies commercial and premium grade Arabica and Robusta coffees to the global coffee industry from its nine distribution offices, in addition to providing specialty coffee from its own dedicated supply, focusing mainly on the US, Europe, Japan and Australia.
