World Coffee Events (WCE) has announced the theme for its second annual European Re:co Symposium, being held 21 – 22 June 2016, in Dublin, Ireland. Running prior to the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe's World of Coffee event, the symposium has adopted the theme People. “People are the very fabric of our specialty community,” said WCE. “Coffee threads us together.” WCE has also announced three of its session topics which include Turn on, an exploration of technical innovation, and how the shifting economic and cultural landscapes are shaping the specialty sector. A second session, Tune in, will examine the opportunities and challenges technology, education, research, economics, capital and communications can present for us in the specialty industry. WCE's third session to be announced, Lead out will look at how collaboration in the contemporary world can aid intentional change. Square Mile Coffee Roasters Co-founder and UK Barista Champion James Hoffman will once again host the event. Re:co Registration is now open and includes entrance to World of Coffee on 23 – 25 June, which will host the World Barista Championships and World Brewers Cup.
