Wega, a leading Italian company in the production of professional coffee machines, will once again support the XXVI Winter Universiade Trentino, the biggest multidisciplinary sports event hosted by the autonomous province of Trento. The event is taking place from 11 – 21 December in 12 areas around Trentino. As technical supplier, Wega will become “an ambassador for the great tradition of Italian coffee”, the company said in a statement. Wega machines will be installed in eight locations for the 2013 Trentino Winter Universiade games, and its logo will be featured on the welcome backdrops set up at the entrances to the various race venues. The company played a major role as an official supplier to the Nordic Skiing World Championships held in Val di Fiemme from 20 February to 3 March this year, with the top-of-the-line Wegaconcept. “Now with the XXVI Winter Universiade, Wega will hit the snows of Trentino once again for an adrenaline-soaked event that translates the thrill of sports in to the values of the Wega brand,” the company said in a statement. Around 3600 athletes, managers and accredited technicians from more than 60 countries will participate in the event. “We are proud to participate in this great sports event, celebrated in a land of champions associated with the notions of reliability, innovation and investment into research and development. These ideas reflect Wega’s philosophies,” said Paolo Nadalet, Managing Director for Wega in the statement. “The highest standards, spectacular results and cultural expression: the profile for this event perfectly reflects our company goals and once again confirms our attention to models of success based on positive values like team work and winning synergies.”
