Wega’s new Urban machine to be released at Sigep

Wega Coffee Machines will officially launch their new Urban model during the 39th edition of Sigep. Sigep is considered one of the most important expos in the world for the homemade ice cream sector; it has also carved out an important place in the European fields of craft sweets and special bakeries, becoming a leading international trade fair for these sectors. This is why Wega will be at the Rimini Fairgrounds from 20 to 24 January  with a 55 square metre stand (pavilion A1, stand 007) featuring all its top models: Polaris, Vela Vintage and Mininova, along with some new items: Fullconcept, Nexa, and the all-new Urban, produced with a systematic and multi-disciplinary approach which perfectly integrates an eye for aesthetics with the capacity to respond quickly to any need, giving baristas all the support they need. With modern lines and cutting edge technology, Urban is a green machine, featuring technical aspects that guarantee certified energy savings of up to 47.6 per cent in standby mode and 30 per cent while in use. It also comes with a intelligent and interactive 5 inch screen integrated onto the front control panel and protected by a tempered glass cover, a “mobile-like” interface to keep up with the times and allow the barista to work with maximum fluidity, and an easy-to-use tutorial guide. Photos and images can be instantly uploaded to the display screens so the machine can be personalized in a few easy steps. There is also a shot counter, and the raised brew groups can be adjusted from 122 millimetres to 82 millimetres in any given moment, thanks to a removable stainless steel grill. During Sigep, Wega Coffee Machines will also be a technical sponsor for the 8th Ice Cream World Cup: the competition will feature 12 teams; each will be made up of 5 people – an ice cream maker, a cook, an ice sculptor and a pastry chef, guided by a team manager – for a total of 60 competitors from all over the world. It will be a unique opportunity for professional assessment and growth, and Wega will be supplying two Urban machines for the event.
