The 2012 World Barista Champion, Guatemalan Raul Rodas, is sharing his knowledge to benefit AUGE, a non-government organization working with communities in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Rodas won the title last year using the region's Acatenango coffee. The training session will be held on 9 May, at which he will demonstrate the T3 technology used in Nuova Simonelli’s Aurelia II, the official machine of the World Barista Championship. The new World Barista Champion will be crowned at the end of this month as part of the Melbourne International Coffee Expo, which is running from 23 – 26 May.
