World coffee exports amounted to 9.21 million bags in November 2012, the International Coffee Organisation reported on 4 January. The figure represents a jump of 1.33 million bags, up from 7.88 million in November 2011. The ICO reported that exports in the first two months of coffee year 2012-13 (October 2012 and November 2012) increased by 21.2 per cent to 18.73 million bags compared to 15.45 million bags in the same period in the last coffee year. Robusta exports represent the largest jump in the the 12 months ending November 2012. Exports of Arabica totalled 66.75 million bags compared to 67.45 million bags last year; whereas Robusta exports amounted to 45.93 million bags compared to 37.19 million bags.
