The Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) will host the finals of the World Latte Art Championships (WLAC) and World Coffee in Good Spirits (WCIGS) championships, with competitors using Dalla Corte dc pro espresso machines. Ahead of the competition, national champions from across Europe were given the opportunity to train at the 2014 dc Campus organised by Dalla Corte espresso machines, Mahlkönig and Urnex. The three-day event brought together nine national finalists in Milan, Italy to train with Della Corte dc pro espresso machines, participate in competition simulations, and learn from past champions. Attendees of the 2014 dc campus also had the opportunity to hear advice from Sonja Björk, a chief judge and trainer of the WLAC and WCIGS championships. “First of all, appear satisfied with your performance. The judges understand right away if the bartender is not happy with the Latte Art creation or with the cocktail. You must appear satisfied by what you have done and by your creativity. A negative attitude, even slight, influences the judges,” Björk told the competitors. Dalla Corte noted in a statement that the response to the dc campus was positive from all participants, who enjoyed the opportunity to meet and make friends, while learning secrets to improve their performance at the finals in Melbourne.
