World Coffee Events has announced the 2022 Cezve/Ibrik Championship (CIC) will take place at World of Coffee in Warsaw, Poland, from 23 to 25 June.
The CIC joins the four World Coffee Championships previously announced for Warsaw — the World Latte Art, World Coffee in Good Spirits, World Cup Tasters, and World Coffee Roasting Championships.
A community of competitors, coaches, judges, and volunteers will be in attendance.
The World Coffee Championship has also confirmed its attendance at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo from 27 to 30 September 2022, featuring the World Barista Championship & World Brewers Cup.
Changes to the CIC Rules & Regulations this year contain formatting and clarification updates and edits for consistency across competitions.
COVID-19 precautions introduced in 2021 have also been retained in this year’s rule sets.
Additionally, these rules formally introduce minimum competitor numbers for Competition Body events.
