Global coffee chain Caribou Coffee has announced it is no longer charging extra for non-dairy milk for all customers.
The move, which came into effect on January 2, follows the company’s April 2023 decision to drop the milk charge for rewards members who pre-ordered on the Caribou Coffee app.
Similar enactments from major franchises such as Starbucks, Dunkin’, Tim Horton’s, and Peet’s Coffee have also come into effect in recent months, demonstrating a key turning moment for the industry.
Caribou Coffee, part of Panera Brands, has more than 800 venues across 11 countries. Recently, the chain announced the appointment of Scott Kennedy as President and Chief Executive Officer in September 2025.
