Caffè Nero UK CEO Will Stratton-Morris has resigned from his position after serving more than seven years in the role.

The resignation from the UK board took effect on 31 May 2025. Stratton-Morris has since assumed the role of Chief Business Development Officer at Caffè Nero UK.

According to media reports, the British coffee chain is currently being led by Caffè Nero Group CEO Dr Gerry Ford.

In its Q3 results (December 2024 to February 2025), Caffè Nero UK reported significant growth, with an 11 per cent increase in worldwide sales and an 8 per cent rise in the country’s sales. During this period, the company also opened 15 stores, including its first store in Saudi Arabia.

Caffè Nero was founded in 1997 by Gerry Ford, and was publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange from 2001 to 2007. In 2007, the company went private with Ford as the majority shareholder. The company has more than 1000 stores worldwide and aims to expand by opening 80 new stores per year.
