From 7 to 10 January 2025, Cimbali Group showcased its artificial intelligence (AI) solutions at technological fair CES in Las Vegas.

The AI-powered digital assistant, Genuin, developed by the technology company Visup’s brand Things5, was demonstrated using the fully automatic LaCimbali S30.

In a statement, Cimbali Group said the system provides technicians with “an immediate, practical tool that reduces machine intervention times and streamlines the management of more complex operations”.

The tool is said to not only improve operational efficiency but also redefine after-sales support standards in the industry.

Additionally, Genuin is designed to customise preparations to suit user’s specific preferences, such as coffee intensity or personalised flavour profiles.

“The collaboration between Cimbali Group and Visup represents an evolutionary leap for the entire industry,” says Edgardo Ferrero, Group Services Director of Cimbali Group.

“By combining Cimbali Group’s expertise in professional coffee machines with Visup’s advanced technology development, this project demonstrates how digital innovation can unlock new possibilities, even in a traditional sector like coffee.”

The company said the application of AI and connected technologies not only addresses market challenges but also elevates the experience for operators and consumers, ushering the entire industry into a new era.
