Allegra Event’s has announced the first speakers for its European Coffee Symposium happening in Copenhagen, 24 – 25 November. Focusing on the achievements of leaders in Europe, the symposium invites speakers to discuss consumer trends, market insight and growth strategies from their businesses. Keynote speakers include Starbucks Vice-President Marketing and Category UK, Ian Cranna. As VP, Cranna oversees marketing activities and category management across Starbucks’ stores in 34 countries.  He has extensive experience in the European market having undertaken roles in France and Netherlands, as well as in the UK and United States. Costa Coffee International and Brand Development Director, Kevin Hydes and Meyer Group-Kantiner CEO Merete Holst will also guest speak. The symposium will follow Allegra Event’s highly regarded Supply & Innovation Day and European Coffee Awards. The Supply & Innovation Day, a type of coffee-industry speed dating, matches suppliers and buyers for 25-minute meetings. Each scheduled meeting is tailored to encourage the requirements of each party being met.   Later that night, the European Coffee Awards will kick of at the AC Hotel Bella Sky. Now in its eight year, the black-tie gala dinner and awards ceremony celebrate the best people and companies of the year. Costa Coffee has taken home Best Coffee Chain Europe for the past four consecutive years. Nominees for the 2015 awards will be announced soon.
