Franke Coffee Systems has used Host Milano to launch its new A Line, the next generation of fully automatic machines engineered by the brand in Switzerland.
The new A Line carries the torch on from the Classic A Line, which has been a trusted range of fully automatics around the world for a decade. The new range – which has launched with the A600 and A800 – has a familiar modularity and serviceability but is packed full of new innovations and fresh technologies.
Connected with FrankeOS software to the cloud, the end-to-end connectivity of the New A Line has been built to help coffee business owners address the three converging pressures of premiumisation, evolving coffee culture and demand for personalisation, and operational pressures from staffing, costs, and environmental requirements.
“Premium expectations are rising even as staffing and cost pressures grow,” says CEO of Franke Coffee Systems, Marco Zancolò.
“With the new A Line, operators get consistent in-cup quality at scale, true flexibility for dairy and non-dairy menus, and simpler day-to-day running.
“All of this is backed up by Swiss engineering. The New A Line is built for today’s realities and ready to evolve with future customer needs.”
The New A Line has launched with the A600 and A800, and will be rolled out globally through the end of 2026.
Consistently premium
Franke’s iQFlow system, which is designed to dynamically control the flow rate of timing of the extraction process, comes as standard on the new models, while the new FoamMaster further enhances quality by creating undiluted hot or cold foam.
PrecisionTemp also enables beverage-specific temperature control designed to ensure every coffee or tea is brewed at the ideal setpoint.
These three functions combine with the aim of achieving consistent, high-quality beverages through precise extraction, accurate temperature, and barista-grade milk foam.
Made for self-service too
The New A Line’s digital operating system, FrankeOS, supports both self-service and served use with Customer Mode for guests and Operator Mode for staff.
Each machine can be factory-connected to the could through FrankeConnect which enables remote setup, over-the-air updates, and centralised menu, recipe, and price management across sites.
The platform supports up to three grinders and two powder hoppers, plus an optional Flavor Station with up to six syrups.
IndividualMilk also keeps two fully separated milk lines from container to cup, enabling instant switches between dairy and non-dairy with no cross-contamination.
The graphical user interface (GUI) of the New A Line builds on FrankeOS and gives step-by-step prompts designed to make it easier for staff to learn how to use the machine, while IndividualClean is a usage-based cleaning system that monitors beverage output and machine settings to prompt the right task at the right time.
The Dynamic Spout Light (DLi) signals status – standby, ready, dispensing, cleaning, warnings, and notifications to further guide the user experience.
Efficiency with a smaller footprint
Franke’s new boiler technology with advanced insulation and thermal management – HeatGuard – lowers energy loss of the New A Line by up to 44 per cent when compared to the Classic A600 no milk version through the reduction of idle heat loss.
FoamMaster and IndividualMilk support more precise dosing and separate milk paths to help reduce milk waste, while FrankeConnect enables remote diagnostics, real-time monitoring, and over-the-air software updates, reducing the need for on-site technician interventions.
