Host Milano celebrates the global HoReCa boom

From 18 to 22 October, Italian trade fair Host Milano is set to host the entire Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering (HoReCa) industry in one exhibition.

Host Milano says this is backed up not only by the figures, which confirm the continual growth of the sector, but the number of companies exhibiting at the show. A total of 2249 exhibitors, 1360 Italian and 889 international from 55 countries, will be on display.

The top 10 markets leading the way are Germany, Spain, France, United States, Turkey, United Kingdom, Holland, Greece, Switzerland, and Portugal, while new entries include Albania, Argentina, Colombia, Latvia, and Lebanon.

The event is arranged into macro areas to allow for blending and synergy between similar industries. Host Milano says this year’s numbers see a particular boost in the Bars, Coffee machines and Coffee sectors, together making up 37.6 per cent of exhibitors.

Host Milano says more than 1500 hosted buyers will attend from 80 countries – including the US, Canada, Middle East, United Arab Emirates, China, and Russia – with an 80 per cent turnover and an increasingly comprehensive typological mix.

Host’s global outlook is rounded out by the BeMyHost project, with a total of 20 Host Ambassadors – all  international influencers with thousands of followers – who are tasked with capturing the latest trends in hospitality, around the world and during the days of the event itself, to then share on their social channels.

Host Milano 2019 includes an events schedule busier than ever before, with more than 500 activites set to “satisfy even the most demanding of palates”, including national and international competitions, show-cooking, pastry-making and bartending exhibitions, and coffee-related activations.
