One of the world’s largest foodservice and hospitality tradeshows, Host Milano 2025 is due to take place in Milan, Italy, this October with an extended program of events and activations.
Highlights of the biennial event this year include the introduction of interactive discussion series Host Talks – Beyond the Cup and the hosting of the World Barista Championship 2025, which makes its highly anticipated return to Milan.
The Host Talks series, created in collaboration with M25 Consulting, aims to be more than just a presentation but a permanent observatory on the future of coffee.
“We wanted to create a place where the entire supply chain could engage in open and constructive dialogue and shift the focus from the product itself to a broader perspective, where coffee becomes a strategic driver for the entire hospitality industry,” says Luigi Morello, Founder of M25 Consulting.
“There are already many coffee-focused events around the world, but we felt there was a real gap for something like Host Talks. The idea is to provide a platform enabling professionals across the whole chain to share and discuss the most interesting emerging issues, backed by careful international research.”
Beyond the Cup will also give schools, technical institutes, and universities the chance to train the future professionals of the industry and will help raise awareness among consumers, who are increasingly attentive to quality, traceability, and storytelling.
“With Host Talks – Beyond the Cup we want to give voice to a community that shares values and visions” says Francesca Cavallo, Head of Hospitality Exhibitions at Fiera Milano.
“Coffee is not just a product but a universal language that brings together innovation, culture, and experience – themes that have always been at the heart of Host Milano’s mission, making it a global hub for the entire hospitality industry, and a vital reference point for the coffee sector in particular.”
As the coffee world faces a myriad of challenges, Host Milano organisers say coffee roasteries, cafés, and businesses need to look for innovative ways to ensure growth and survival. Host 2025 aims to be a hub for real business opportunities for both exhibitors and visitors.
From 17 to 21 October, the SIC – International Coffee Exhibition in Milan is expected to host hundreds of exhibitors from all over the world, including roasters, machine manufacturers, coffee professionals, and global distributors.
