The International Coffee Organisation (ICO) has relaunched the Coffee Sustainability Support Database with new and improved digital features.

Previously known as the Coffee Sustainability Initiatives Map, the Coffee Sustainability Support Database (C2SD) is an interactive digital platform that aims to enhance transparency, collaboration, and strategic alignment across sustainability initiatives in the global coffee sector.

The new platform features interfaces with intuitive dashboards, including a dedicated Country View and Project View. According to the ICO, C2SD serves as a centralised public resource to improve access to information on more than 400 sustainability projects in coffee-producing countries.

“We are very proud of the new Coffee Sustainability Support Database, which reflects our ongoing commitment to the ICO’s mission of promoting the sustainable and inclusive growth of and by the global coffee sector,” says Vanúsia Nogueira, Executive Director of the ICO.

The platform is designed to be used by international organisations, NGOs, coffee institutions, bilateral donors, and coffee companies.

As outlined by the ICO, the new database will aim to: foster collaboration, co-investment and knowledge exchange across the value chain; strengthen and scale up individual efforts by aligning with a broader, collective strategy; and identify synergies, overlaps, and funding gaps to enable smarter, more impactful investment decisions.

“Since its inception, the goal of the Coffee Sustainability Support Database has been to consolidate scattered information and make it accessible to key stakeholders. This relaunch marks a major step forward in that mission, offering enhanced tools for decision-making, collaboration and strategic funding”, says Nogueira.
