Cafexpo, described as the first national coffee event in Honduras, is set to take place on from 21 to 22 March 2025.

The event has been designed to connect the entire coffee supply chain for two days of networking, collaboration, business, and celebration in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Cafexpo is said to be a unique opportunity for coffee producers, coffee production inputs and equipment providers, exporters, importers, roasters, coffee shops, brewing equipment and suppliers, baristas, coffee enthusiasts, government agencies, NGOs, and industry leaders to unite and engage in advancing the coffee culture of Honduras.

Adilson Avila, Honduran Coffee Institute (IHCAFE)’s General Manager, says this was an exciting opportunity presented by Cafexpo.

“Honduras is among the top coffee producers globally, and now we’re taking a significant step forward to shine a spotlight on our exceptional coffee culture, producers, and professionals. This is a great moment for us as we host our national coffee event, and we warmly invite the world to come and experience the richness of our coffee heritage,” he says.

The event – a coordinated effort between IHCAFE, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through Sustainable Agribusiness, and commercial partners – will feature an exhibition hall, series of lectures and workshops, and a coffee competition. International participants will have the opportunity to meet coffee producers and arrange origin visits.

“Cafexpo represents a pivotal moment for Honduran coffee producers, uniting tradition with innovation as we showcase our dedication to excellence and sustainability. Together, we are not just cultivating coffee; we are nurturing a bright future for generations to come,” says Benjamin Paz, Coffee Producer and Winner of Cup of Excellence Honduras.

Cafexpo aims to elevate the coffee industry as a whole, from producer to consumer, by bringing international participants, innovation, and the local industry together to learn and do business.
