The International Institute of Coffee Tasters (IIIAC) is running a number of seminars dedicated to Italian espresso tasting at the ISM trade fair in Cologne, Germany 1 – 4 February. Held in the Caffè Italia area the sessions will introduce visitors to the main characteristics of the drink, with the aim of providing essential information on assessing the quality of the espresso. Manuela Violoni, IIAC board member and lecturer will be hosting the demonstrations twice a day. IIAC is sponsoring Caffè Italia in conjunction with the Italian Espresso National Institute. Caffé Italia is taking place at ISM trade fair for the first time, after hosting events in the United States, France, Japan, Korea, China and Thailand. ISM is a sweet and snacks fair, which attracts exhibitors from the chocolate, biscuit and ice cream industries, as well as coffee and more. The next Caffè Italia event will take place at Foodex, in Tokyo, from 3 – 6 March 2015.
