Ethisphere has recognised illycaffé as one of the world’s most ethical companies, in the release of its 2020 World’s Most Ethical Companies Honoree List on February 26, 2020.

Ethisphere is an institute that defines and advances the standards of ethical business practices around the world. 2020 marks the eighth-consecutive year illycaffé has featured on the list.

“Upholding the highest ethics under a rigorous sustainable framework is essential, not only to develop our company and our industry, but also to do our best for global society, the planet’s health, and the wellbeing of generations to come,” says Andrea Illy, Chairman of illycaffè.

On this year’s list, 132 companies from 21 countries were featured. Illycaffè is one of only six companies in the Food, Beverage, and Agriculture category.

Businesses were assessed on culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance, governance, diversity, and initiatives to support the value chain.

“Today, ethics and values are among the most important drivers to stakeholders and companies that uphold and deliver on their promises year-after-year, to continue to grow within their industry,” says Timothy Erblich, CEO of Ethisphere.
