Some of the leadership team from Indian café chain Barista Coffee Company have got behind the coffee bar as part of a hands-on initiative to learn more about the company’s front-line workers.
Founded in 2000, Barista Coffee Company is one of India’s largest chains with more than 480 locations in 140 locations, including a presence in Sri Lanka and other international markets.
During the initiative, some of the company’s senior leadership were active participants in end-to-end café operations at its Sector 18, Noida location in New Delhi, including brewing coffee, preparing food items, managing walk-in orders, and packing online and delivery orders.
CEO of Barista Coffee Company, Rajat Agarwal, says the leadership team consistently stepping behind the bar at different locations helps them understand staff challenges and concerns.
“We are happy to once again stand on the other side of the table and connect with our customers in a more meaningful way,” says Agarwal.
“Our cafés are the heart of our business, and our frontline teams are the backbone of our success. By stepping into their roles, we are able to understand their concerns and feedback directly with regard to operations and products.
“We deeply respect the incredible work our Barista teams do every day, and this initiative also allows us to stay closely connected with our guests and their expectations.”
