Indian café chain Nothing Before Coffee is celebrating its 100th-store milestone, with a new venue opening in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The fast-growing quick-service brand was founded in Jaipur in 2017 by Ankesh Jain, Anand Jain, Akshay Kedia, and Shubham Bhandari. As of August 2025, it now has venues in 36 cities across 14 Indian states.
“Our vision is to make Nothing Before Coffee (NBC) India’s most loved homegrown coffee chain by delivering authentic, affordable, and culturally resonant café experiences,” says Co-Founder Akshay Kedia.
“Reaching our 100th store is both a proud and humbling milestone, born from our mission to bring quality coffee to every corner of India, from bustling metros to emerging towns.”
The company recently raised ₹2.3 million (US$26,000) in funding to fuel growth and plans to open more than 80 new stores by the end of 2026, with a focus on metro areas and emerging cities.
“By combining affordability, uncompromising quality, and deep cultural relevance, especially in Tier-II and Tier-III markets, we have laid a foundation for sustained growth,” says Kedia.
“With strong unit economics and unwavering consumer trust, we are now poised to scale rapidly. The capital we’ve raised recently is further enabling us to invest in technology, talent, and new formats, unlocking our next chapter as we work toward making NBC the most loved and accessible coffee experience in India.”
In a quickly growing coffee market, NBC says it’s aiming to carve out a niche with a “youth-first” approach that focuses on serving “high-quality, affordability, and cultural relevance in beverages”.
