Romania’s 5 to go has outlined its expansion plans both within its home market and wider Europe, in a bid to reach 1000 total locations by 2028.
For the 2026 calendar year, 5 to go says it is targeting a turnover of EUR 72 million alongside the growth of its network to 15 locations in Bulgaria, 10 in the Republic of Moldova, and two in the Republic of Ireland.
The first of that pair of Irish stores is due to open to the public for the first time on 12 February, 2026. Located in Dublin, it is a 140-square-metre space that has been adapted to meet the demands of the local market.
In Bulgaria, 5 to go has already opened its first location in Sofia, with two addition stores scheduled to open in Varna in May.
These new openings come alongside a wider goal of launching approximately 100 new coffee shops per year in its home market of Romania.
This year also looms as the launching pad for new product concepts under the 5 to go Bakery umbrella, as well as the opening of its Matcha Bar concept, a dedicated space designed to explore new recipes and products developed around matcha.
