Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) has announced plans to expand South Korean coffee chain Compose Coffee further into Southeast Asia in a bid to accelerate the brand’s global growth.
Since acquiring a 70 per cent stake in the Compose brand for US$340 million in 2024, JFC has opened 1000 Compose stores in the past 18 months, including the opening of its 3000th store in September 2025.
JFC has reported a more than 10 per cent growth in year-on-year sales despite a highly competitive market in South Korea, with its Americano selling more than 200 million cups in 2025.
CEO of Jollibee Group International and Global Chief Financial and Risk Officer of Jollibee Group, Richard C.W. Shin, says Compose Coffee’s ability to grow in South Korea indicates its ability to successfully expand into new markets.
“Compose Coffee’s explosive growth in the world’s ‘Coffee Republic’ proves its ability to scale with quality, value, and brand love,” says Shin.
“As we bring this momentum to more international markets, we see significant opportunities to create long‑term value for shareholders.
“Compose Coffee is a strategic growth engine for the Jollibee Group’s international portfolio, and we are committed to investing behind its global potential.”
