Olivier Lemire has been appointed President of the Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) United States (US) coffee business, according to an SEC filing signed by the company on 17 September.

Lemire has served as President of Keurig Dr Pepper Canada since 2021, initially joining the business in 2011.

His shift to KDP’s US portfolio has also seen VP, Finance of KDP Canada appointed as Interim President of KDP Canada.

KDP US CEO Tim Cofer says Lemire’s leadership experience of the brand’s Canadian business will hold him in good stead.

“Olivier is a strong, people-centred leader who will help take our coffee business to the next level,” says Cofer.

“He has done an exceptional job leading out Canadian coffee business, strengthening our position in that market while fostering a world-class team and culture.”

The appointment comes in the aftermath of an earlier announcement from KDP that it will acquire European coffee conglomerate JDE Peet’s for US$18 billion, with the merged companies to then split into two separate companies – Global Coffee Co., and Beverage Co..
