Lavazza participates in early AI software pilot

AI-powered platform Stravito has introduced its new agentic tool to market following a successful early pilot with Italian coffee company Lavazza.

With the new AI Personas tool, food and beverage teams can ‘talk’ with dynamic consumer personas to test messages, produce concepts, and package ideas in real-time. The technology is designed to speed up the time it takes to get new products to shelf and give teams “a powerful edge”.

Lavazza was already an existing Stravito customer and the pilot saw teams stress-test ideas with consumer input before new products were launched.

Head of Business Intelligence and Consumer Insights at Lavazza Group, Simone Ballarini, says the AI data capability of Stravito has helped streamline efficiencies in the business.

“We are committed to creating the best possible blend of consumer and market data, connecting insights from around the world to drive growth,” says Ballarini. “Today, this has become much easier thanks to AI and a trusted partner like Stravito.

“Stravito AI Personas stood out for providing reliable feedback, grounded in our own research. The tool de-risks early ideation, turning weeks of validation into hours of fast, iterative exploration with a small, targeted squad.

“This boosts team efficiency, strengthens the innovation process, and helps integrate and humanise our entire knowledge base.”

CEO and Co-Founder of Stravito, Thor Olof Philogène, says the platform can help businesses like Lavazza cut time, costs, and risk when assessing strategic decisions.

“Stravito AI Personas is the next step in our evolution. It’s designed to deliver real-time segment-specific insights into revenue-driving workflows,” says Philogène.

“[It] helps make consumer-centricity a daily reality. It enables teams to create stronger ideas with consumer insight at the heart of strategic decisions.”

Stravito was founded in Sweden in 2017 and now has bases across Europe and North America. It counts Nestlé among its customer group and was named in the Financial Times’ FT1000 2025 ranking of Europe’s fastest-growing companies.
