Smart Packaging Hub is hosting a free online webinar focusing on how to reduce packaging costs and waste in the beverage and coffee sectors. The event will take place on 13 October from 3pm to 4pm CET time.

With packaging an ally for end-users and large-scale distribution, Smart Packaging Hub’s webinar will feature important industry players across these sectors who will share their smart packaging solutions they have used to save costs and improve their sustainability.

The webinar will be moderated by Sonia Bennati, CEO of food and beverage packaging magazine Editrice Zeus and Francesco Oldani of retail magazine GDOweek and Gruppo Tecniche Nuove.

Waste and recycling management will be a core pillar for many of the speakers.

Luc Lizotte, Engineering and Maintenance Manager of North American food and beverage company Lassonde will explain how it was able to save on waste product during pasteurisation and heat treatment, featuring complete data tracking integration in their basket loader and unloader.

Federico Oneto, Executive Vice President Operations at Caffitaly, which is a main player in the coffee sector, will demonstrate how smart packaging solutions improved their performances and decreased costs.

Smart Packaging Hub is a collection of seven companies including Baumer, Cama, Zacmi, Makro Labelling, Clevertech, Tosa, Opem. The hub is a virtual meeting corner where end-users of automated packaging machines or lines can interact with manufacturers to find responses to complex questions, and technological innovation is embraced.
