Moccona has launched its liquid espresso coffee sachets in Malaysia and Singapore, six months after launching the product in nearby Australia.
The single-serve concentrated coffee sachet has been released in three blends – medium roast, dark roast, and caramel – and all contain 100 per cent Arabica beans.
Each box contains eight sachets of espresso that, when mixed with 150ml of water or milk, create the beverage.
General Manager of JDE Malaysia, Fiona Tan, says the launch of the product in the region comes amid growing demand for portable, simple to use products.
“Consumer preferences are increasingly shifting toward personalised, portable, and time-saving formats, says Tan.
“With this innovation, Moccona is responding to evolving coffee habits, offering new versatility for consumers seeking options that balance quality, taste, and speed.”
As part of the release, Moccona has also released a variety of recipes designed to show the versatility of the sachets to consumers, including a Hot Flat White from the medium roast, an Iced Spanish Latte from the dark roast, and an Iced Caramel Latte from the caramel blend.
JDE Peet’s is not the only brand looking to capitalise on the growing liquid espresso market, with Nestlé also releasing its Liquid Espresso Concentrate in markets around the world over the course of 2025.
In research commissioned by JDE, it was found the product as of May 2025 made up just 0.4 per cent of the global espresso market, however research from Nestlé found 50 per cent of North Americans who drink coffee enjoy a cold beverage as their first of the day.
