Nuova Simonelli hosted the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe's (SCAE) Europe Basic Barista Courses for 2013 at its training school in Belforte del Chienti. The classrooms are fully equipped for both theoretical and practical lessons. The recent SCAE classes were taught by Maurizio Giuli, Head of Marketing for Nuova Simonelli, as well as Lauro Fioretti, Head of Technical Support for the Italian company. The espresso machine manufacturers announced in January that other courses would follow throughout the year, however not just for baristas, with plans for courses on machine installation and maintenance, roasting, tasting, as well as judging workshops for both national and international championships. Nuova Simonelli noted that the school already hosted around 20 training or refresher courses throughout 2012.
