Atlanta Coffee Supply Group (ACSG) has been acquired by food and beverage technology business Odeko, which has now expanded its reach to the United States (US) southeastern region.

Odeko partners with more than 17,000 independent food and beverage businesses in the US – including coffee shops and cafés – to supply goods, track orders, access insurance, and finance equipment.

Founder of ACSG, Jonathan Silver, says merging with Odeko will create more opportunity for the brand to modernise its practices.

“When I started Atlanta Coffee Supply Group 30 years ago, we were trying to fill a void in Atlanta’s growing restaurant scene. Chefs were serving institutional coffee at the end of their great meal – we had a solution,” Silver says.

“From our inception, ACSG has been committed to supplying fresh roasted coffee, exceptional iced tea, and unmatched service to our customers while building long-lasting relationships.

“Joining Odeko allows us to grow our customer base, but more importantly, it moves ACSG onto their modern ordering platform, giving our customers an easier way to manage their orders, inventory, and payables. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.”

Upon the integration of ACSG into Odeko, customers in the Atlanta metropolitan area will gain access to specialty offerings including ACSG’s exclusive brands Lakehouse Coffee and Blue Durango Iced Tea.

“Atlanta Coffee Supply Group’s reputation for quality, service, and strong local relationships mirrors our own values, and together we’ll be able to offer even more to our customers,” says CEO and Founder of Odeko Dane Atkinson.

“We are thrilled to welcome ACSG to the national Odeko family.”

Since its inception Odeko has raised more than US$280 million and is backed by leading venture capital firms. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The company announced it had raised US$126 million in Series E Funding in March and has since acquired other regional distributors including Humankind Beverage, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
