Australian bakery chain Brooki Bakehouse is set to expand internationally following the investment of AED60 million (US$16.3 million) by Middle Eastern investment firm Arada.
Founded by social media influencer Brooke Bellamy, Brooki Bakehouse has grown its Australian footprint to five locations, having opened a new location at Sydney Airport earlier this month.
The Brooki brand is already known to consumers in Abu Dhabi, having appeared at the city’s international food festival earlier this year – where Arada says customers queued for more than two hours to purchase baked goods.
The expansion into the United Arab Emirates in 2025, Arada CEO Ahmed Alkhoshaibi says Brooki Bakehouse will expand into further markets in 2026.
“This investment in Brooki Bakehouse reflects Arada’s commitment to creating meaningful lifestyle experiences that connect people through culture, food, and design, as well as our track record of investing in and expanding best-in-class Australian brands overseas,” says Alkhoshaibi.
“Our investment will enable Brooki to scale its reach into new markets, particularly in regions where Arada operates, including the UAE and UK, while strengthening its base in Australia.”
Arada says it plans to launch a series of Brooki Bakehouse popups across the UAE from the end of November, including in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain, with a pair of flagship stores slated to be opened in the first quarter of 2026.
Bellamy says the partnership with Arada will help Australian hospitality gain a stronger foothold in the international market.
“This transaction is about taking an Australian story to a global stage,” she says.
“We built Brooki from scratch – no shortcuts, no compromises – and now, with Arada, we have the platform and resources to share our creativity, quality, and community with the world.”
The agreement with Brooki Bakehouse follows from other significant food and beverage and hospitality transactions by Arada. Earlier this year it entered a AED100 million (US$27.2 million) joint venture agreement with Tashas Group to open a series of new restaurants, while it also recently acquired Sydney coffee roastery The Reformatory Lab.
