For the second year in a row, Probat, a leader in coffee processing technology, has received the Best Managed Companies Award recognising exemplary entrepreneurial thinking and action.

Deloitte, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and Credit Suisse in cooperation with BDI (The Voice of German Industry) presented the award to Probat on 12 May at an official ceremony at the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf.

“We design our management processes flexibly, put them to the test again and again, and are also able to act at short notice. The past year has shown that the focus on various digitalisation and sustainability projects has significantly promoted the progressive development of Probat,” says Probat CEO Wim Abbing.

The evaluation framework for determining whether a company qualifies as a Best Managed Company are based on the values of strategy, productivity and innovation, corporate culture, and governance and finance.

“As a winner of the Best Managed Companies Award, Probat has once again successfully demonstrated its outstanding corporate management. Probat is thus not only a benchmark for German small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), but at the same time stands for a strong as well as thoughtful management in dynamic times,” says Markus Seiz, Best Managed Company Program Leader and Director at Deloitte Private.

According to Probat, its focus on the current industry drivers of sustainability and digitalisation played a key role in once again being awarded with the honour for outstanding companies in the SME sector.

The roasting machine manufacturer consistently sets new standards within the industry with the development of new environmental technologies for the sustainable design of coffee processing as well as with digital marketing platforms.

“The renewed recognition of our work is an extremely valuable confirmation for our company and at the same time an important impulse to continue initiated change processes and to challenge and critically question the status quo over and over again,” says Jan Molitor, Employee Value Proposition Marketing of Probat.
