United States (US) specialty coffee retailer Reborn Coffee has entered a master licensing agreement with Arjomand Group to develop retail locations and product lines in the Middle East, Europe, and MENA regions.
Under the terms of the US$1.7 million agreement, Arjomand Group will lead the development of Reborn Coffee-branded locations in the regions to support the brands global expansion strategy.
The Californian business announced it was undertaking an “aggressive” international and domestic growth strategy in February 2025.
It acquired a 58 per cent stake in South Korean bakery chain Bbang Ssaem Bakery in November 2024 which, at the time, held 31 locations across South Korea.
Just two months earlier it had announced a joint venture with Gaingan Humantech Co. to open three Reborn Coffee locations in Bangkok, Thailand.
CEO of Reborn Coffee Jay Kim says the new alignment with Arjomand Group represents another step forward in the brand’s goal of international expansion.
“This agreement with Arjomand Group is more than a financial milestone – it is a strategic inflection point for our brand,” says Kim.
“With their operational reach and regional expertise, we’re entering new markets with a powerful partner that shares our vision of building a lifestyle-driven, premium coffee brand.”
Founder of the Arjomand Group, Farooq Arjomand, has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Reborn Global since 2015, and took over as Chairman of the Board of Reborn Coffee Inc. in 2018.
Reborn Coffee is currently finalising a flagship drive-thru store at the Abu Dhabi Group’s headquarters as part of its entry strategy into the Gulf region, with the partnership to extend distribution to 17 hotels.
