Cosimo Libardo is the new President of the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE), following the SCAE board election. Libardo is currently serving as Sales and Marketing Director at Nuova Simonelli and has over 17 years of experience in the coffee industry.

Libardo will replace Drewry Pearson, Managing Director of Marco Beverage Systems, following the SCAE Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 11 June. “SCAE wishes to offer its thanks and appreciation to the outgoing directors, all of which have contributed to the achievements that have taken place within the association of the past few years,” said Executive Director David Veal, in a statement.
The AGM, which will be held at the World of Coffee Event in Rimini, Italy, will also mark the appointment of several other directors to the board including a new Vice-President, Paul Stack from Ireland. The SCAE said in the statement that it is looking forward to the exciting future ahead with full confidence in the new board.
