Ticket registrations for the Specialty Coffee Expo will open on 1 June.

The event is scheduled to take place from 30 September to 3 October in New Orleans, United States.

As the largest specialty coffee event in North America, the expo attracts more than 14,000 attendees and over 500 exhibitors every year.

Due to COVID-19, the event was postponed last year but returns with the US Coffee Championships, Roaster Village, and many long-standing and new exhibitors.

The event will host its esteemed Best New Product Award and Coffee Design Awards. The Coffee Design Awards honours the best in coffee packaging, vessels, spaces and branding.

Best New Product Competition seeks to recognise novel, quality products that add value to the speciality coffee industry.

The SCA Expo aims to provide the specialty coffee industry with a platform to network and meet the people behind products and services.

Networking event Discover Live, will kick off the Speciality Coffee Expo.

Taking place on 30 September from 5pm to 6.30pm, the event will give attendees a chance to talk to lecture speakers, SCA Guild members, barista champions, and more.

The SCA Lecture Series, featuring a sequence of educational talks and panel discussions, will take place as part of the expo from 1 to 3 October. Lecture proposals for the SCA Lecture Series are open until 28 May. Lecture proposals must relate to one of the following six themes: Humanities and Social Science, Sustainability, Science and Innovation, Coffee Farming and Processing, Roasting and Retailing, and Trading and Commerce.

COVID-19 safety precautions including physical distance guidelines, cleaning routines, and sampling regulations will be in place for the 2021 event.
