Swiss court upholds Nestle Nespresso appeal on compatible capsules

At end of June, a Swiss Federal court upheld an appeal by Nespresso capsule makers Nestle by Swiss discount chain Denner. The case has been sent back to court for a third try. Nestle had initially lodged a legal bid in December to stop the sale of compatible Nespresso capsules. While the court initially blocked the sale of Denner’s capsules, it reversed its decision in March. The company was subsequently allowed to sell its capsules. The case has now been sent back to Swiss federal commercial court for a new determination.
