Specialty coffee company and green coffee decaffeinator Swiss Water has reported strong full year 2024 results amid Arabica coffee futures volatility.

The company reported revenue of CA$173.1 million (US$119.9 million), an increase of 4 per cent over the prior year, and a gross profit of $26.2 million (US$18.2 million), an increase of 39 per cent over prior year.

In 2024, Swiss Water’s net income was reported at $1.3 million (US$0.9 million), an increase of 340 per cent over prior year, and an adjusted EBITDA of $14.3 million (US$9.9 million) saw an increase of 7 per cent over the prior year.

“2024 was a pivotal year for Swiss Water, one of transformation and resilience. Despite persistent volatility in global coffee markets, we are pleased to report solid results that underscore the effectiveness of our strategic approach and the trust of our customers,” says Swiss Water CEO Frank Dennis.

“The consolidation of our production into our new Delta facility has positioned us for enhanced operational efficiency and sustainable long-term growth.”

He adds that the company’s reputation for premium quality decaffeinated coffee, combined with its strategic inventory positioning, enabled it to meet customers’ needs during a challenging market environment.

“By maintaining a strong balance sheet, we preserved inventory in critical locations, ensuring roasters could access our high-quality coffee with immediate availability,” says Dennis.

“As we look forward, we remain steadfastly committed to creating value for our customers and stakeholders, by confidently navigating the dynamic global coffee landscape.”
