Brazilian coffee chain The Coffee ザ・コーヒー has closed out 2025 by opening its first location in the United Kingdom, with Liverpool’s Oriel Chambers selected as the site for the new store.
The Coffee has embarked on an aggressive international expansion strategy in 2025, having also entered new markets including Australia across the calendar year. At the time of writing, it now operates more than 150 cafés in 28 countries.
Founded by Brazilian brothers Alexandre, Carlos, and Luis Fertonani, The Coffee blends Japanese minimalism and aesthetics with Brazilian coffee culture with the aims of creating a wholly unique café experience for its customers.
The Coffee prioritises a tech-forward ordering and service system in its locations all over the world, with ordering and payments made online or through its app. It’s Liverpool location says it will have staff on hand to assist customers, however.
Its menu is also split into segments of ‘seasonal beverages’, ‘purist beverages’, ‘signature beverages’, ‘drip coffee’, ‘foods’, and ‘shop’, with many beverages customers may expect on the menu including flat whites and lattes not offered.
