Swedish coffee company Löfbergs has been awarded the Great Taste Award in the United Kingdom for its Single Origin Brazil Coffee.

The Great Taste Award is a food and drink accreditation scheme to celebrate quality food and beverages. It is presented by The Guild of Fine Food in which judges, along with a panel of 500 experts, evaluate products in the industry.

“Great taste is a cornerstone in our offering, which is why this award is highly appreciated,” says CEO of Löfbergs Anders Fredriksson. “It shows that we succeed in our ambition to source and produce high-quality coffee, and pave the way for increased sales in all our markets.”

The award comes after the family-owned business entered the UK market in 2022, supplying UK retail chain Tesco with its coffee.

“The response has been very positive, and we have great opportunities to keep growing in the UK,” says Fredriksson.

Löfbergs’ Single Origin Brazil coffee is made from 100 per cent Arabica peaberries, and contains notes of butterscotch along with a hazelnutty aftertaste. The blend is also certified by the Rainforest Alliance.

Founded in Karlstad, Sweden, by brothers Anders, John, and Josef Löfberg, the coffee group began in 1906, and started exporting coffee in 1993.

Today, it operates in 10 markets across Europe, and produces approximately 12 million cups of coffee per day. The company’s aim is to share its passion for taste and its values on sustainability.
