Ross Warnes has been appointed as Pret A Manger’s UK & Ireland President and is poised to lead the brand’s largest market into its next phase.

Warnes will start the position in January 2026 and joins from Kraft Heinz where he has held several senior roles including VP of Sales for Northern Europe, UK & Ireland Sales Director, and Area Vice President of the brand’s biggest business united in the United States.

Pret A Manger CEO Pano Christou has labelled Warnes’ appointment as “instrumental” to helping the business reach its goals in the region.

“I’m excited to welcome Ross to the Pret team overseeing UK & Ireland. Ross has great experience in growing food brands and leading high-performing teams,” says Christou.

“His leadership will be instrumental as we focus on growing our UK market share, driving transactions and delivering more value to our customers.”

In his new role as President, Warnes will oversee more than 500 Pret locations in the United Kingdom and Ireland as the company continues to progress its vision for creating more value for its customers.

Pret A Manger launched its Super Plates in July 2025, with the range featuring fresh-made salads to meet growing demand for more nutritious lunch options.

Warnes says he is excited to spearhead Pret’s ongoing evolution from the start of 2026.

“I grew up with Pret and have always cherished its freshly made food, organic coffee and friendly service. It’s been amazing to see it evolve over the years and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of its exciting future,” he says.

I’m looking forward to joining the team and taking the Pret brand to new places across the UK and Ireland.”
